#1: The Agenda

I keep meaning to post on this website more, but I never find the time because I keep trying to write long, meandering reviews when I don't have the time. I think it is best practice instead to write in a more liberal manner. In this post, I will discuss what projects I have planned.

Doctor Who: 15th Doctor Title Sequence

This has been my main priority, as I am nearly finished with this. Initially, this was supposed to be a quick project, but it has almost been a year since I started this. Currently I need to improve upon the nebula in the middle section and start work on the logo section. In the opening section, I plan to render with less prominent environmental volumetrics.

Doctor Who: The Deadly Assasin—Into the Matrix—Title Sequence Concept

This was the project that I was working on before the 15th doctor title sequence, and I plan on resuming work on this after I am finished. The problem with this project is that it is quite ambitious and, based on the progress of my current title sequence, could take years to make. It is going to involve 3D characters, detailed CG environments, and FX simulations. I am also under the delusion that I will learn the now-canon Gallifrey script for some of the CG assets.

New Logo

I'm not particularly happy with my logo, so I intend on making a new one for when I release my 15th doctor title sequence.

New Website

Due to concerns in relation to the Wix company and also for more customisation, I intend to create a replacement website elsewhere. I have not decided which platform I will choose. I might choose Neocities as it seems the most fun, but it seems quite complicated to set up. I might choose Tilda, as it seems quite straightforward. At the moment, this is probably the lowest priority.

Reviews

My blog has previously been used to write film reviews, and I intend to do more of this. I think the big mistake with those reviews has been that I tried to write them in the manner of a film critic, and I am not a film critic. The result is just long, meandering nonsense that I cringe at whenever I take the time to re-read. In the future, I will try and be as honest with my opinions as possible. I will probably post these reviews on Letterboxd since I have been using this a lot recently.

Original Project

I really want to do a non-Doctor Who project, though I haven't figured out what such a project would be.

Drawings

Drawing is something that I have always enjoyed doing, but I have not been able to keep up as much as I would have liked. I'm considering drawing a comic since I used to draw a lot of comics when I was younger.
